Mission

Technical body accredited for product analysis, certification and industrial research, Certimac offers specialist skills and innovative services to certify and increase the performance of materials and processes, with particular reference to energy efficiency, environmental sustainability, safety and healthiness of products and environments.

Certimac works to support Industry in partnership with ENEA and CNR, its founding members and current majority shareholders.

Certimac works in partnership with ENEA and CNR, its founding members, to bring specialist skills, qualified networks and state-of-the-art equipment to the service of companies for the development of their competitiveness.
We participate as partners in numerous European research projects that allow us to constantly acquire new knowledge, cutting-edge tools and qualified human resources to develop concrete solutions to the energy-environmental challenges.
We have state-of-the-art instruments, devices and software to perform analysis and develop industrial research projects on over 5000 materials and on multiple types of buildings, plants and energy management processes.
In our role as an independent third party, we offer technical advice to companies to improve the performance and sustainability of materials, products and processes and obtain increasingly sustainable and reliable results.
Over the years, Certimac has developed a strong expertise in access and management of incentives for funded research available to companies that want to innovate and grow through the correct use of EU contributions.

Certimac and its scientific partners offer to companies and researchers an extensive and integrated area of equipped laboratories, state-of-the-art tools, equipment and software for analysis and testing of traditional and advanced materials and for the improvement of energy efficiency in buildings, plants and industrial processes.

Official accreditations

Below you will find a detailed list of official accreditations obtained by Certimac and its team.
    Certimac is a Laboratory authorized by the High Council of Public Works (Protocol No. 2107 of 28/02/2020) to operate within the qualification of composite materials for structural use of the type FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymers), CRM (Composite Reinforced Mortar), FRCM (Fiber Reinforced Cementitious Matrix) and FRC (Fiber Reinforced Concrete).

    The certification of professional skills is the guarantee of receiving a qualified service. Certimac team consists of professional figures who have completed qualification and certification of their skills including:
  • Experts in Energy Management, certified in accordance with UNI-CEI 11339-2009

    Certimac is an accredited laboratory of the Emilia-Romagna High Technology Network (DGR 115/2012 of 06/02/2012) and member of the 2 Clust-Ers: Building and Construction (BUILD) and Energy and Sustainability (GREENTECH).
    The Industrial Research Laboratories of the Emilia-Romagna High Technology Network:
  • Exploit research results for economic and social purposes
  • Develop innovation pathways specifically tailored to the needs of businesses
  • Carry out research programmes in collaboration with companies to identify product lines or processes based on the frontier of scientific and technological research

    Certimac has obtained ISO 9001 certification (TIC 15 100 1810345 certificate) and every year renews its accreditation through inspection audits for the maintenance of the certification.

    A company with ISO 9001 certified quality system "Quality Management System Certification" offers the guarantee of a solid structure, evaluated by an entity above the parts, organized in such a way as to keep under control all aspects of its business and ensure reproducibility of performance and therefore of the maintenance but also of the continuous improvement of the quality standards provided.

Materials Innovation District

Evangelista Torricelli Science and Technology Park in Faenza is a pole of excellence where resources are concentrated for the development of Research, Industry and Innovation in the field of materials, energy and sustainability.
